guilty pleasures
What are yours? Mine are:
-fluff tv such as VH1 All Access specials, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, BBC What Not to Wear, and several Style Network programs
-"chick lit" in the Bridget Jones vein, the fiction equivalent of a romantic comedy.
-screening my calls
-when nobody's looking, making silly faces at babies so they smile and laugh (if you're wondering why I do this on the sly, it is because some parents seem upset when their child gets excited and giggly, or the parents are tickled and want to draw me in and 'chat' forever, or they assume I'm a crazy kidnapper in disguise as a devastatingly adorable girl)
-not washing my hair every single day (this actually isn't bad for you, but some people think it is gross, even though it has greatly improved the health of my locks and many stylists recommend it)
-occasionally being "high-maintainence"
-indulging my picky sweet tooth, though my taste buds seem to have abandoned me lately, I have very specific dessert preferences. I lean towards the cold and creamy (creme brulee, tiramisu,Tofutti sandwiches, raspberry cheesecake, kheer, ginger ice cream, zabaglione) but I'll venture into other territory (chewy carrot cake, gingerbread, chocolate-raspberry cake a la mode, mini eclairs, Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies, my mom's baking - only hers, not any random baked good). The only candies I ever buy for myself, on rare occassion, are marzipan and chocolate covered fruits (cherries, strawberries, etc.)
-idly surfing the Internet
-shamelessly judging others
-squealing and pretending I'm terrified of bugs so my boyfriend will smush them for me (not that our home is crawling with insects but the occasional spider or palmetto bug does exist, after all this is FL)
-leafing through magazines
